Career Fair
Master Builders of Iowa and Build Iowa is hosting a career fair on March 29 at the West Des Moines Sheraton Hotel from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Their hope is to connect high school students with contractors and builders around the state. This career fair is important because they connect the building trades industry with students at local high schools that want to explore options in this field. Businesses are not only connecting with these students but also interacting through possible job shadows and internships.

For more information, please visit: https://mbi.build/our-services/workforce-development/career-fairs/

DMACC Presentations
Transferring college credits earned at your high school can seem overwhelming, be confusing and can vary from each institution. Join DMACC, a representative from the Iowa Regents, and a representative from Iowa private colleges via Zoom to virtually discuss frequently asked questions about transferring DMACC credit and what you should be asking colleges about the process. The presentation will discuss both completing a degree at DMACC before transferring to a 4-year institution and transferring college credit directly to a 4-year institution after high school as well as questions regarding pass/fail, etc.
